About the role:

We’re recruiting an experienced Compressor & Installation Engineer, ideally based in North England and supporting nationally as the business demands.

Working as part of our garage equipment installation team up and down the country, you’ll visit our customers’ premises nationwide and undertake the installation of vehicle workshop equipment, with particular focus on the installation, testing, commissioning, servicing, electrical and mechanical repair of workshop compressors and ancillary equipment. This role includes:

  • Installation of compressed air equipment
  • Repair, servicing and maintenance of compressed air equipment
  • Experience in compressors, hydraulics, pipework, and related equipment
  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Fault-finding, diagnostics and emergency repairs

Experience of the following is beneficial but not essential:

  • 2 & 4-post vehicle lifts
  • In-ground lifts
  • Brake testers

You’ll have experience in this field and you will have an engineering qualification with experience in compressed air systems. You will have excellent communication skills and be self-motivated, working well individually or as part of a team.

Salary is negotiable based on experience. The position will involve nights away from home to meet the demands of our customers.

Qualifications and training:

An engineering qualification is essential.

Experience in the installation of vehicle workshop equipment is essential, with particular experience in compressed air systems.

Skills

Proven experience in installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of compressed air systems.

Experience in installation of vehicle workshop equipment and vehicle lifting equipment beneficial.

GEA accreditation.

Personal traits and aptitudes

  • Thorough, excellent attention to detail. PC literate.
  • Willingness to travel the country.
  • Good health to carry out this manual job.
