To increase sales of all garage equipment and ancillary products into Independent garages, selected key account customers, commercial vehicle workshops and franchise dealer groups. To drive and assist the Motor Parts Direct branch network in exceeding budgeted sales and margin targets for garage equipment |

Reports to: Head of Workshop Garage Equipment |
|
Works with: Garage Equipment team, Branch staff, field sales team, Regional Managers, equipment suppliers and senior management |
|
Responsible for: All garage equipment sales and potential sales within customer and market place scope. |
|
Main Contacts: Able to communicate and liaise with customers at all levels, field sales teams, branches, suppliers, and any other departments using excellent administration and communication skills. |
|
Essential/Desirable Qualifications: Experience and technical competency relevant to the garage equipment products been promoted and supplied, customers, competitor information and the market place. |
|
Essential/Desirable Experience: At least 2 years experience in a field sales, specially in garage equipment or very similar role.In depth knowledge of Motor Parts Direct customers, our market and sales potential. Hold a current full clean driving licence. It literate to Microsoft office level, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Good understanding of business ratios and profit margin expectations Ability to plan and advice workshop layout along with knowledge of VOSA regulations regarding new MOT testing Awareness of Health & Safety, Loler and Puwer regulations regarding vehicle lifting etc Self-motivation and the ability to work largely unsupervised in the field to a high standard Knowledge of finance packages, leasing and the benefits to MPD and our customers. Good all round knowledge of GE market and competitors. Currently living centrally within the sales area for which you are employed to manage |

Technical/Product Knowledge: Excellent working knowledge of Garage equipment products, sales processes, and legislative requirements. |

Essential/Desirable Skills/Competencies: Excellent presentation and oral communication skills. Able to work unsupervised to achieve business goals and sales targets Able to demonstrate strong awareness of customer requirements. Be motivated to achieve results. Ability to manage customer issues via negotiation and support through to a satisfactory conclusion |

Mobility/Location Requirements: This is a field-based position covering an extensive area and will necessitate considerable travelling and occasional overnight stays. |
