Truck and Bus Services in Wrexham have recently installed a Stertil-Koni 35-tonne capacity SKYLIFT to enhance their workshop operations. This addition complements their existing two sets of mobile column lifts previously purchased from Stertil-Koni.  

The company specified a top-of-the-range, 35-tonne capacity, surface-mounted heavy-duty SKYLIFT, model SKY350, which, due to its compact design and narrow width, occupies minimal floor area thereby ensuring maximum use of valuable workshop space.  

To optimise lifting operations, several extras were ordered with the SKYLIFT: a jacking beam with a 16-tonne lifting capacity to support tyre and brake repairs, LED lighting for better illumination of the vehicle underside, and an air installation kit.    

The SKYLIFT simplifies various tasks, including servicing, maintenance, repairs, and wheel alignment checks. Its versatility is ensured by the 14.5-metre-long platforms, which offer a low drive-on height of just 350mm and a generous lifting height of 1.75 metres. And with no base frame or cross beams and only a lifting leg at each end of the platform, the vertical-lifting SKYLIFT provides engineers with unobstructed access to raised vehicles from all sides.   

As with all Stertil-Koni products, safety is paramount. The SKYLIFT incorporates an independent mechanical locking system that is always active. Each leg features an individual measuring device, ensuring smooth and level synchronisation to within 15mm.   

Stertil-Koni’s revolutionary ebright Smart Control System allows for the operation of the SKYLIFT from a lockable control box situated alongside the lift. The patented eBright system, featuring a full-colour touchscreen panel interface, precisely controls the raising and lowering of vehicles.
