TIP Trailer Services provides essential services to trailer, tanker and other commercial vehicle operators throughout the UK and internationally, together with rental and other fleet support services. Specialist engineers maintain and repair vehicles in-house in 16 UK TIP workshops or on-site for customers, with work including MOT inspections, equipment checks and repairs, diagnostics, servicing of elements including brakes, axles, electrical components, tyre maintenance, reefer engine servicing, suspensions, tail-lifts and other body repair works.

Bespoke workshop service pit installation for TIP’s Liverpool depot by CCS Garage Equipment

Having refurbished TIP’s Nuneaton workshop previously, installing state-of-the-art garage equipment including new service pits and ancillary kit, CCS Garage Equipment was recently engaged by TIP again to install a new 12m service pit and pit jack at the company’s Liverpool premises in Simonswood, accompanied by associated groundworks and hardwearing epoxy resin paint finish. The 10-bay workshop, plus a fleet of on-the-road engineer vehicles, undertakes semi-trailer maintenance and repair work including MOT preparation and roller brake testing, operating as an ATF for the testing of trailers and HGVs. Our new pit was to occupy a previous bay area, allowing workshop engineers and mechanics to work more efficiently under vehicles at the same time as working above, creating great flexibility in the way the team works. Both products are made in Britain by trusted suppliers, delivering a robust and hardwearing service pit system for TIP Liverpool.
