We are very please to announce the appointment of our new president of the GEA,
Mr. Tony Gill
Tony started his automotive career in the army, training as a tank mechanic with the REME. When he left the army, he joined a large Land Rover dealer in London as a technician. Tony stayed at the dealer for 17 years working my up to workshop controller. Tony left the Land Rover dealer to work for himself as a mobile technician also sub-contracting for Nissan Europe, supporting new model press launches, and Autologic, delivering training courses and providing telephone support to customers. Eventually Tony joined Autologic full time as a Land Rover support technician. Tony is still working at Autologic, now Opus IVS, where he is the Customer Support Manager responsible for a team of 40 technicians delivering support and remote services to independent garages in the UK and Europe.
Tony joined the GEA council for Opus IVS in 2022 replacing the previous Opus council member and progressed to a board position in 2023.
We look forward to working with Tony over his Presidency at the GEA.
