About the role:

We’re currently looking for an experienced Garage Equipment & Pipework Installation Engineer, based in the North West and supporting nationally as the business demands.

The role includes visiting our customers’ premises, mainly in the North region but further afield if required, and working with all types of vehicle workshop equipment including the installation, testing, commissioning and servicing of 2 and 4-post vehicle lifts, pipework and compressed air and lubrication systems, Dura Workshop Furniture, MOT bays, brake testers, and other associated equipment. Pipework installation, testing, commissioning and servicing will focus in particular on:

  • Compressed air lines
  • Exhaust extraction
  • Oil tanks
  • Oil fill & delivery lines up to 2”
  • Dura Workshop Furniture
  • Compressors
  • Set up of lubrication equipment (oil pumps, PRVs, reels, stands, dispensers, waste oil etc)

You will have experience and an engineering qualification, excellent communication skills and be self-motivated, working well individually or as part of a team.

Salary is negotiable based on experience. The position may involve nights away from home to meet the demands of our customers.

Qualifications and training:

An engineering qualification is essential.

Experience in the installation of all types of vehicle workshop equipment, in particular vehicle lifts and pipework, is essential

Skills

Proven experience in installation of garage equipment, vehicle lifting equipment and pipework.

GEA accreditation.

Personal traits and aptitudes

  • Thorough, excellent attention to detail. PC literate.
  • Willingness to travel from your base in the North West.
  • Good health to carry out this manual job.
