Last week, the audience at the Asia-Pacific Regional Road Safety Conference (APRSC2025) was addressed by Benoît de Maynadier, CEO of Muller Automotive, who shared his vision for road safety. He emphasised the critical efforts needed to improve the mechanical condition of vehicles and reduce pollution. As Benoit says, “The vision of Muller Automotive is very clear, by our work, our unwavering commitment, we strive to create safer and cleaner roads, therefore saving lives and fostering a sustainable future for generations to come”.
The conference aimed to engage a diverse range of stakeholders in discussions about key road safety issues in the Asia-Pacific region. It also sought to emphasise that road safety is not just a necessary expense but a strategic investment that offers significant benefits to the broader economy. Muller Automotive, a prominent player in this field, is committed to improving road safety and vehicle reliability. We have demonstrated our leadership by developing modular, robust, reliable, and highly technical equipment used for the periodic inspection of vehicles.
The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), Bridgestone Asia Pacific, and the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) joined forces in this significant regional conference. Their collaboration, which Muller Automotive was a part of, was designed to be a flagship event in the region’s road safety calendar, underscoring the importance of collective action in this crucial area.
Over the course of three engaging days, the agenda covered key topics in current road safety discussions, with a focus on strengthening and diversifying financing. The practical outcomes of the conference include a deeper understanding of effective, evidence-based road safety interventions and a roadmap for their implementation, all of which align with the goals of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.
While the conference was a global event, Muller Automotive’s vision is also having a clear and direct impact here in the UK. With our country’s ambitious road safety targets, the technology we supply for inspecting and assessing vehicle condition is more crucial than ever. Our equipment is already helping UK garages and MOT test centres ensure vehicles on our roads are safe and dependable, helping to contribute to our nation’s goal of reducing road casualties.
Reflecting on the company’s involvement in this crucial conference, Bernard Gravillis, Head of Commercial Activity at Muller Automotive UK, echoed Benoît’s view. “Muller Automotive’s commitment to road safety isn’t just a corporate talking point. It’s a core value that drives our innovation. I have seen firsthand how our vehicle inspection equipment directly contributes to making our roads safer. We are proud to be at the forefront of this movement, providing solutions that not only meet the highest technical standards but also embody our dedication to a safer, more sustainable future.”
