The Prospect Union has announced that its members have been asked to take national strike action on 10 May and 7 June.

You can find the latest information on our dedicated page on GOV.UK.

This is likely to affect some of DVSA’s vehicle services including the services we provide to MOT garages.

Not all DVSA staff are Prospect members, and even if they are, they might choose not to take part in strike action. So, we will not know which staff are participating until the action takes place.

MOT demonstration tests

MOT testers should continue to attend their demonstration test as planned.

If a MOT demonstration test does not go ahead, DVSA will automatically rebook the appointment. MOT testers do not need to contact DVSA.

Keeping checking for updates
