The DVSA have released special notice 04-25

This special notice outline changes to class IV (4) MOT bays effective from the 1st April 2026. 

From 1st April 2026 jacking beams supplied to new MOT site or as replacement to current jacking beams will have to meet the new specification requirements which is:

• 2.0 tonnes (minimum) capacity
• 1700mm between the lifting pads centres.
