Lookers’ Renault dealership in Stockport hit the headlines in September 2019 after a huge fire devastated the St Mary’s Way site. The service department was hit particularly hard, with all workshop equipment written off by insurers and a complete rebuild required.
CCS was appointed by Lookers to deliver the new workshop, working alongside our client’s architects, builders and the dealership’s team to completely redesign, refurbish and install the service department’s garage equipment installation. With a refreshed workshop layout and state-of-the-art equipment, Renault Stockport is now fully-equipped to serve local customers safely and efficiently for many years.Bespoke garage equipment installation by CCS
The Renault Stockport service department comprised an important part of the dealership’s £3m overall refurbishment, and work commenced at an early stage of the rebuild to design and plan the workshop, meeting the client’s timescales for reoccupation of the site whilst understanding budget and quality expectations.Having worked with Lookers for many years, our CCS Garage Equipment design team’s excellent relationships enabled us to quickly understand how the Renault Stockport workshop would operate, its preferred garage equipment specification and additional opportunities to enhance the dealership’s service offer.
The Renault Stockport workshop’s redesign by CCS accommodated an additional 2 service bays and vehicle lifts, taking the facility’s total bays to 12. This increased capacity supports the client in delivering efficient servicing for an ever-growing customer base, backed by reliable ancillary equipment including a dual-revenue Class 7 ATL MOT bay, wheel alignment bay, fume extraction, compressed air and lubrication systems and tyre changing equipment.Renault Stockport’s refurbished workshop was fully-installed, tested and commissioned by CCS, supervised by our dedicated garage equipment installation project manager, and our servicing team continues to undertake routine maintenance, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment.
