CCS Garage Equipment has recently completed the relocation and installation of a commercial vehicle workshop for Lanes Group in Leyland, Lancashire.
Our expert garage equipment installation engineers in the North West were engaged by Lanes Group to create a new commercial vehicle servicing and maintenance facility in Leyland, Lancashire, bringing together two former Preston sites under one roof to deliver a more complete service to the organisation’s customer base across Lancashire.
Established in 1992, Lanes Group is now one of the UK’s leading drainage and wastewater services contractors with over 2000 staff employed across 21 nationwide depots. Lanes delivers complete sewer services, reactive and preventative drain services, and septic tank installation, removal and routine emptying. Operating one of the largest fleets in its sector in the UK, Lanes Group has invested in its facilities in Leyland to enable the organisation to professionally maintain, service, repair and test its vehicles on site, getting vehicles back into service quickly.
Lanes Group has consolidated its Preston operations into the new depot at Leyland, which is now open and home to Lanes Group’s core drainage teams as well as teams from Sapphire Utility Solutions, a maintenance services provider to cleanwater, wastewater, gas, digital network and highways sectors, including Lancashire County Council, in the North West.
CCS was appointed to handle the garage equipment installation for the in-house commercial vehicle workshop, a versatile facility located in a repurposed building in Leyland designed to accommodate fleet vehicles ranging from light commercial vans to small trucks, wastewater tank vehicles and more specialist fleet vehicles such as Sapphire’s “CityFlex” fleet and PMMA (Polymer Modified Mastic Asphalt) trucks.
Relocating and reinstalling garage equipment such as this enables our client to maximise use and value from its current, serviceable assets. Many clients choose to de-install and reinstall safe and valuable garage equipment during a workshop relocation, establishing new depots with capacity for growth and supported by existing kit.
