Committed to reducing carbon and the impact of waste, Cheshire West Recycling recycles and reuses waste as a resource, meaning that less than 1.5% of the waste collected by the organisation goes to landfill.
A team of over 300 people operates 73 low-carbon RCVs which run on renewable and sustainable vegetable oil fuels in the authority’s area, maintained efficiently and cost-effectively by in-house fleet services at the company’s own workshops in the area. Vehicle maintenance and servicing supports both the client’s own, brand-new fleet, as well as serving a range of other Council-owned operational vehicles.
Having worked alongside major waste management companies such as Biffa and Grundon, as well as supporting local authorities nationwide with waste management fleet workshop facilities, testing and inspection services, CCS Garage Equipment was an experienced garage equipment installation partner to Cheshire West Recycling on its recent refurbishment of vehicle servicing workshops in Winsford and Ellesmere Port.
Making good use of the spaces available in these new commercial vehicle workshops, our specification was versatile to serve the modern RCVs operated by Cheshire West Recycling, while also accommodating other council-owned vehicles.
