Redevelopment to transform this site into a state-of-the-art regional retail hub for BMW is progressing well, with the workshop and dealership spaces now both busy activity hubs as work continues.Appointed in late 2022, CCS Garage Equipment’s installation team has supported our client with workshop design led by creative thinking and industry-leading equipment, before moving on site to bring the workshop to life as part of our client’s overall £4.5m refurbishment investment.More on our garage equipment installation project for Lookers BMW, Crewe, in our earlier update

Garage equipment installation for Lookers BMW, Crewe, in Cheshire

This major workshop installation project will see the BMW Crewe site equipped with up-to-the-minute technologies, delivering excellent capacity for the dealership hub as the business continues to grow and expand to serve customers in the region.

Our design team created a workshop layout and specification to include:

10-bay workshop
Fixed 2-post vehicle servicing lifts, which are now in place in new service bays
Dedicated wheel alignment bay
Class IV MOT bay
Bespoke Dura workshop furniture, also now in situ in the workshop
Compressed air system
Lubrication, fresh and waste oil systems
LEV systems

Dura workshop furniture will not only give the completed workshop a sleek, on-brand look, but crucially ensures small tools, and systems such as lubrication, compressed air and data network ports are within easy reach of engineers during day-to-day operations.

A busy site in action! Garage equipment installation by CCS has begun, alongside our client’s other contractors and building teams, including initial installation and fitting of the workshop’s eye-catching new Dura furniture.

New fixed 2-post vehicle servicing lifts during installation. Base frame-free lifts offer excellent capacity and reliability, with overhead risers for power making the most of the workshop’s height and avoiding the need for underground cabling between posts. Our team on site will bring more images as the workshop nears completion during summer 2023!
